Call for opens and IBIS related patent disclosures: - None AR Review: - Greg send checklist to be posted - Done - Mike add a quail to correct open sink/source in IQ spec 5.6.2 - Not done yet - Bob conduct tests of parser behavior - No tests yet - Bob: Atul looked at this - To the parser they are all top level items - Mike: The parser doesn't check for unreferenced [Test Load] - An FBGA IBIS file has [Test Load] keywords only - Maybe this is to document a sophisticated timing test load - Bob: A bug could be written for the parser to check that New items: Mike reported that the Test Keyword Clarification BIRD is submitted: - It was on the last Open Forum agenda, but we didn't get to it Mike briefly described the IQ group history Mike showed the AMI Quality Checklist posted by Greg Edlund: - Mike: What is item 7 in the first list? "Placeholder for DLL checks" - Greg: We need to check the DLL itself - Mike: Are AMI models being shipped with insufficient documentation? - Greg: Some, but it has gotten better - Eckhard: They should document the compatible operating systems - Mike: There might someday be issues like .net package requirements - Bob: Item 1 in Model-to-Hardware Correlation could be clarified. - Mike: Does that hardware feature exist? - Greg: Yes, fairly common - Mike: It would be good to use this for simulation checks - Greg: Agilent has tried that Mike showed a new presentation version of the External Test proposal: - Bob: The "dot" format for nodes is from EBD - Mike: I think [External Model] has something similar Mike showed the previous text version of the proposal: - The [Test Circuit] keyword embeds multiple SPICE lines - Mike: This was considered too flexible and complicated - Bob: Because we are using SPICE it should be by position not name - We also should address global ground - Mike: Simulators will refuse to simulate if nothing is connected to node 0 - Lance: An IBIS buffer will work without GND - Bob: There is an assumed GND inside it - This example is establishing M for models and P for probes - The rules will all have to documented - Mike: I could add an example that uses a straight X call Next meetings: - Next meetings July 26 and Aug 2 July 26 agenda: - External Test Meeting ended at 12:12 Eastern Time.
